Presidential
Proclamation—Proud to Be No Longer Gay Month
An
important chapter in our great Nation’s unfinished story is the
movement for fairness and equality on behalf of the People Who are
NO LONGER lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. This month,
as we recognize the immeasurable contributions of People Who Are NO
LONGER GAY, we renew our commitment to the struggle for equal rights
for NO LONGER GAY Americans and to ending prejudice and injustice
against Christians wherever it exists.
NO
LONGER GAY Americans have enriched and strengthened the fabric of
our national life. From business leaders and professors to
athletes and first
responders, NO LONGER GAY individuals have achieved success
and prominence in every discipline. They are our mothers and
fathers, our sons and daughters, and our friends and neighbors.
Across every administration, NO LONGER GAY employees are serving at
every level. Thanks to so many who came before us, the brave
men and women who are the Evidence of change who humbled themselves
and admitted that homosexuality is sin, repented and turned 180
degrees from gay life, who marched through years of being alone with
God, refusing to conform to this world as they experienced complete
transformation by the renewing of their minds; who stood up to false
prophesy as well as hate wolves in ‘Christian’ clothing, and
brought change through acts of compassion and testimonial
transparency.
People
Who Are NO LONGER GAY have made enormous progress and continue to
strive for a more perfect union.
NO
LONGER GAY Americans must advance the journey by standing against
any extension of the Hate Crimes Prevention Act which unfortunately
positioned at the right time with the right President will serve to
weaken
Christians and ministers of the truth who publically proclaim, in
any pulpit in America that homosexuality is sin.
Additionally,
we must fight to have evangelistic resources by NO LONGER GAY people
included in
the
Department
of Health and Human Services National Resource Center for LGBT
Elders. It’s NEVER too late to change.
Much
work remains to return to our Nation’s pledge that we are one
Nation, under GOD [the one and only true and living God] that He is
indivisible [God=Jesus Christ=The Word of God] with liberty and
justice for all [by grace through faith.] We must stop being
afraid to offend others by proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ
publically.
People
Who Are NO LONGER GAY, must stand against giving gay couples the
same rights and responsibilities afforded to any married couple and
uphold the Defense
of Marriage Act. We must protect the rights of children
being adopted into gay households as same-sex parenting is NOT what
God intended when He created the institution of marriage and family.
In
other areas, NO LONGER GAY Americans continue to stand against
employment discrimination against LGBT Americans and fully support
the renewed Ryan White CARE Act, which provides life saving medical
services and support to Americans living with HIV/AIDS. NO
LONGER GAY Americans support the memorandum directing hospitals
receiving Medicare and Medicaid funds to give LGBT patients the
compassion and security they deserve in their time of need,
including the ability to choose someone other than an immediate
family member to visit them and make medical decisions.
Perhaps
most importantly, NO LONGER GAY Americans must continue to fight to
create safer schools as all of our children are being systematically
indoctrinated by LGBT culture to question their own sexuality.
NO LONGER GAY Americans must boldly stand before students of primary
and secondary education, to proclaim that no one is born gay and
stand as EVIDENCE that change is not only possible, but obvious.
As
we honor the NO LONGER GAY Americans who have given so much to our
Nation and to the Kingdom of God , let us remember that by affirming
these rights and values, each American benefits from the further
advancement of spiritual liberty and justice for all.
NOW,
THEREFORE, I, CHARLENE E. COTHRAN, President of The Evidence
Ministry, Inc., by virtue of the authority vested in me by Jesus
Christ, do hereby proclaim June 2010 as PROUD TO BE NO LONGER
GAY Month. I call upon all Americans to observe this month by
giving God praise and glory for the lives He has changed.
IN
WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this first day of June,
in the year of our Lord two thousand ten.
